Everyone has their favorite bogey. There's Sasquatch, and there is the Abomidable Snowman. There are alien sitings and abductions. South America has different versions of vampires and body snatchers. England and Scotland have spooks and ghosties. Ireland has banshees. France has Woody Allen and Jack Chirac.

I think Hillary is probably America's biggest bogey. I know I can scare my kids silly with her. I can even spook myself. She's no different than Sasquatch. ( ;

signs of “dirty tricks” as Republican officials began suggesting that Hillary might succeed Senator Tom Daschle

Somebody explain to me why this conjecture is a "dirty trick"....

but Senator Hillary Clinton’s reluctance to be drawn into the 2004 race for the White House

Oh Pokey, Pokey, Pokey, we need to educate the Brits don't we? They actually think her saying she won't run, means she won't run! Bwahahaha!
Hey Briton, we know this woman, you don't! The Republican party is well advised to counter her ASAP!

I can even spook myself.

I have had thoughts along those lines, as well. Scary.

Be afraid, be very afraid.

But that is what you and I are here for, right?

Sleep tight, we have many friends.

The problem for the Democrats, one Republican pollster suggested, is that Clinton, whose Senate performance has been much admired, has become “a gorilla surrounded by chimps”.

she has been drawn into the 2004 race - she wants Bush to win. It is essential for her.

I'm worried about VICE President Rodham-Clinton. Think of it:

• She keeps he promise not to run for president in '04
• Two years and one day into her term the first slotter gets arkincided
• Under Article XXII, she can still run for two full terms as the incumbent
• The Hillary!™ Decade begins
• At the end of the Hillary!™ Decade there is a National Emergency "temporarily" delaying the elections
• Under the pressure of the National Emergency, the 2nd and 22nd amendments are repealed...

“I love these Republicans,” said Terry McAuliffe, chairman of the Democratic National Committee. “They just can’t get over the Clintons.”

You got that one right, Terry! I can't begin to imagine how MUCH money would flow into Republican coffers if Hillary Clinton declared her presidential candidacy!

Note to "Terry:" Prevention of another eight loooooooong clinton years is THE best fund-raising idea any Republican could have!

The party’s quandary has been magnified by the attention heaped on Clinton’s new book, which has sold 800,000 copies in less than three weeks and may cause one prominent conservative pundit to eat his shoes on primetime television.

I'm willing to bet there hasn't even been 800K printed, much less a million.

McAuliffe says we can't get over the Clintons. I think it is more the case that they can't get over the Clintons.

The proof that you're right is that he is the one saying that. McAuliffe is a Clinton stooge. We'll know the Democrats have gotten over Clinton when some other guy's stooge is in there.
