It is not just teenagers who are often "growing" into an identity. It is now generally acknowledged that many of the "gay and lesbian" activists of the early 90s - including many radical ones - have now settled down to heterosexual unions.
This might be the reason why surgery is now being promoted to young people with gender issues. It is irreversible - no drop outs. I believe that this is propaganda from an immoral lobby in society who are undermining social roles and values.
