Two roadside bombs were detonated near a vehicle belonging to the US embassy Saturday afternoon south of Beit Lahia in the Gaza Strip.
No injuries were reported.
Israel Radio reported that an American delegation is traveling in the area ahead of the IDF's withdrawal from the Gaza Strip and the PA's security takeover.
The Radio reported that the bombs were more than likely targeting the American embassy vehicle, since IDF forces and vehicles have not been operating in the area.

The terrorists are just trying to intimidate Bush. Not a very hard job to do considering his recent weakness.

The truce with the terrorists only stops them from targeting Israelis. Americans are fair game, apparently.

We have an embassy in the Gaza Strip? A embassy to what country? We have an unofficial "embassy" (which is a consulate really) in Jerusalem which reports directly to DC and not to the US embassy in Tel-Aviv (which BTW is not Israel's capital). You can consider that to be America's Embassy to "Palestine."
But the case of this incident was directed at EMBASSY CARS (that is cars from Tel-Aviv) that were travelling in the area (for what reason, I have no idea.)
