Uh, hate to tell you this, but checking the arriving freight is too late. We're already working with the countries who are shipping things to the US getting set up to inspect shipping containers BEFORE they get here.

As to why we need peacekeeping forces, it's easier, cheaper and more efficient than allowing things to get so out of hand they end up here. Or do you like having all the worlds refugees seeking asylum here? That's what happens when people can't live in their own countries, and we accept them. How about approaching problems in a more cost effective manner.

I hate to tell you this but there is very little inspected in foreign origination sites. There is also the little matter of cargo ships taking two or three weeks time to reach a port here with no supervision in that period of time. The only sure way to be positive is apprehending the vessels before they reach our ports and inspecting them at a distance from our shores. Of course this would take away from our expenses and manpower to police the world as you so ardently support.

As far as refugees, I have seen no decrease in spite of our desire to be the sugar daddy of every dictatorship who backs us in our adventures. You seem to have forgotten the adage that so many have been told from years past: "Charity begins at home". It seems to please you that: "Charity begins overseas so I can fill my pockets with money extracted from the living standards of my country". It isn't treason but it isn't commendable either.
