Umm...actually I think drugs provide the dead brain of a monkey. Seems that is what happens. She may have some mental impairment aside from drugs (in the natural), but for anyone to think drugs does anything less than to alter one from a normal state is foolishness. Maybe people don't like themselves in the norm and con't cope, I don't know.

The utter lack of fear for the man's health and life is the telling factor.

A person with a conscience would have been afraid for the man's injuries, afraid they wouldn't get them to a doctor in time, afraid they'd be maimed for life...
