Hydrogen. The most flammable substance in the universe.
I shudder to think what will happen when the ditzes of the world are fueling up with this stuff.

I dont know but I'm willing to bet that the amount of energy that you boil out of this stuff is still not equal to the amount of energy it took to extract it. Wouldn't it be neat to create a system that created more energy than it used? Why, you could run an engine -- forever! Gotta think of a catchy name for it. Maybe a "Perpetual Motion Machine" or "PM2". I'm sure we're getting close to having this sort of technology. I'm going to go file a patent ...

The viability of hydrogen fuel cells is a grat topic for discussion and research. My 10-year old son recently bought a really cool fuel cell experiment kit and used it to win a science fair. Here's a link to info on this kit. We found it to be fun and truly amazing, and worth every penny spent. :)

"One thing still hasn't changed. I still dont care to ride around in a vehicle that has been turned into a small weapon of mass destruction by the addition of a large canister of highly compressed, highly volatile fuel. "

Not only will you eliminate most wrecks. But then people who drive big cars as insurance against wrecks can switch to smaller ones.
