BURBANK, Calif. (AP) - Arnold Schwarzenegger refuses to terminate rumors of a run for governor while promoting his latest movie, joking that: ``You haven't seen special effects like this since the California state budget.''
Schwarzenegger's advisers have said he will decide whether to run after the July 2 release of his movie and only if it becomes clear that an effort under way to recall Gov. Gray Davis will qualify for the ballot.

The biggest reason I don't want him to run is having to deal with all of the Terminator puns. Sigh....

The biggest reason I don't want him to run is having to deal with all of the Terminator puns. Sigh.... Remember when Clint Eastwood was going to run? But all the "Come on, make my day" puns had already been used.

Schwarzenegger, taping ``The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'' Thursday at NBC Studios, was introduced to the audience by Leno, his friend and fellow Republican,
The last time I heard Jay Leno on the subject (a few years ago when I was unemployed and able therefore to stay up and watch), Jay said he was a Democrat. Did Leno change, or did I miss something?

You are doing a Maureen Dowd imitation. I said statewide office is not the place for a candidate to learn how to run in an election.

Let's see, there will be no major Democrat opponent, a very short race, and he has total name recognition. If there is a chance for him to win, this is it! Then when he runs (which he has been dropping hints) again, it will be as an incumbent, much easier. I can see why he would be tempted.

I saw the show... Jay did introduce him as the "next governor, but DID NOT SAY....."FELLOW REPUBLICAN"
A little license by the press dont cha know.

That's the prevailing logic, kinda makes sense, that's why Jay refers to him as Gov'ner.
He may be Dem, but not Dumb!

President of North Korea, perhaps. He's Constitutionally barred from serving here, thank God. Once again, the wisdom of the Founding Fathers reasserts itself. :-)
