Say what? 30 minutes is much longer than you might think, especially when spent on a single topic...

I agree. The only way the author manages to get any traction with this is by also arguing that the meetings were always the same day of the executions, and that this supports his conclusion that even if Gov. Bush asked for more information it would be too late to provide it. I don't know the background on this, but I think the author in his interview this morning said that Bush had never chosen to anything other than allow the execution to proceed as scheduled.
