Shirley and Abe, a retired couple from New York City, living in Miami Beach,
are getting ready to go out to dinner.

Shirley says, "Abe, darling, do you want me to wear this Chanel suit or the
Gucci?"

Abe says, "Do I care?"

A few minutes later Shirley says, "Abe, should I wear my Cartier watch or my
Rolex?"

Abe says, "Who cares?"

A few more minutes pass and Shirley says, "Abe, love, shall I wear my
five-carat pear diamond ring or my six-carat round diamond ring with the
baguettes?"

Abe says, "Shirley, I really don't care what you wear, but if you don't get
moving, we're going to miss the Early Bird Special."

A member of a church choir arrived every Sunday morning with
her seven children in tow, all a bit rumpled but
nevertheless on time.

Scarcely able to get her one child ready, Liz asked her how
she managed her brood so efficiently,

"Easy," she replied with a smile. "I dress them the night
before!"

Are you prepared for Christ?

Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth
come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had
known in what watch the thief would come, he would have
watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken
up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye
