What will the rating be for this movie. Will it be too gruesome for children? I guess that's a silly question in this day and age! I, too, am a Catholic. This will be a movie for ALL Christians, but perhaps we will appreciate the parts with Mary a little more!??

(sorry, losing some sleep now, brain cells fading...)...
....Anyway, Mel mentioned that a "mature" 12 year old could possibly watch this movie...but any younger would be a little too violent for them.
That might be a good cue to pick up the DVD and show it at Easter when they are of age.

There's no rating yet as far as I could find, way too early for that. Shouldn't be "R" though. No need for that. As far as it being too gory for children, some may view it as so, but it would make more of an impact that way. IMHO, that's the way films with the Crucifiction should have been done all along. The way Mel is doing this one. This should be a blockbuster. However, in this pc world led in part by the whorelywierd crowd, it may not be. Pity if that would be the case. Can't wait to see it.
