I recently converted to the Catholic Faith. I used to be a Baptist.
Protestants do not believe in the Real Presence. They say Communion is only a "symbolic" practice of Christ's crucifixion. From some of the most disturbing accounts I've heard of satanists carrying off Hosts to use in black masses, I realized this: Apparently, devil-worshipers even believe in the Real Presence. We can tell a lot about who we are by who attacks us and Our Lord.
(BTW - I attend the Traditional Latin Mass - Communion-on-the-toungue only.)

Another Catholic ex-Baptist? Me too! Easter 2000.
Great point on the Real Presence - next time my still-Baptist father & I are revisiting that issue, I'll be sure to use it. He is so close, SO CLOSE to believing. He doesn't receive communion in the Baptist church because he feels unworthy, though when I point out that if it's only symbolic, what does it matter, he has no answer. Maybe the fact that even the devil-worshippers believe will be what it takes to push him over. Thanks a lot!
