Wow. I have been saying for some time that if Mel Gibson is able to succeed with his intentions, then this will be the greatest movie of all time, both artistically and religiously. This review makes it sound as though he has succeeded even beyond expectations. I'm anxiously looking forward to next spring and being able to see the greatest movie of all time.

Thank you for the ping. This review, including the author's emotions, makes me wish Gibson had released the movie this year instead of next. I absolutely can't wait.

.45MAN - this may be the "push" we need to buy a DVD player. I know it will be the movie to break our 3 years-long boycott of the movies. We will need to own a copy of this when it is available.

I haven't time to scroll and looksee, but did anyone bring up that the ADL is challenging the script? And at one time so was the UCCB? (I think I heard that isn't the case so much now.) At any rate, Gibson was suing both those organizations!

Also, did you know that the ADL is effecting changes of the once-every-ten-years passion play at Oberamergau? There is a big push now to discredit John as well as Matthew--and the pc pillar within the Church is only too happy to comply.
