...inner, outer, inner, outer? All I know is - on the southern part of the outer loop, I'm traveling east. On the eastern part of the inner loop, I'm traveling south. On the northern part of the outer loop, I'm traveling west. On the western part of the inner loop, I'm traveling north. On the northern part of the outer loop, I'm traveling west. On the western part of the inner loop, I'm traveling north. On the southern part of the outer loop, I'm traveling east. On the eastern part of the inner loop, I'm traveling south.
It isn't confusing at all...

Letterman did a funny bit on the Dem candidates on his show tonight:after an introduction in which he described all of them as indistinguisable from one another and unexciting and colorless, he turned it over to Paul Shaffer who extemporized on the piano, accompanied by pictures of five of them: to the same melody, pictures of Kerry, Gephardt, Edwards,Kucinich, etc. flashed on the screen and Shaffer sang: "Johm Kerry is a white guy....who always wears a suit"......Dick Gephardt is a white guy....
who always wears a suit....." and on and on.......

Whoops - I almost forgot -
On the northern part of the inner loop, I'm traveling east. On the western part of the outer loop, I'm traveling south. On the southern part of the inner loop, I'm traveling west. On the eastern part of the outer loop, I'm traveling north.
And, no, I NEVER ax for directions...

"I have so much energy and passion for this campaign," he mentioned during a recent speech in Washington. "It [MY EGO] drives me 16 hours a day, seven days a week."

And the frosting on the cake is that the beltline isn't a "loop." A "loop" would suggest that would keep going in circles for ever. No matter where you get on the beltline you'll eventually end up going west on I-40 unless you take the US 1/64 "exit" to stay on the "beltline."
