The Howard Stern show was very funny this morning. They were laughing about how the new media euphamism for young black males is now "hip hop fans."

"Hey that hip hop fan just stole my car!"

I did not know that young hip hop fans were encouraged to congregate in the Hamptons.

Except, looking at the names and also recalling what MTV summer show participants look like, I'd say you'd be wrong.

Not only blacks are hip hop fans, and it looks like this wasn't even the MTV sponsored event that got out of control but a few thugs from their audience going over and starting trouble at another club.

With names like Greg Romine and Pandelis Whateveropolis, looks like white guys did this. Also, MTV shows tend to be rather mixed events, even for hip hop.

Now if they said a detachment from the Source Awards was over there, then you'd be on point ;)

As a music demographic, they are now referred to as "urban".
