Only because you perceive a valid moral distinction in adult consent.

Yes, and most people do. This is why I'm amused when I'm called a "radical Republican" -- our views are conventional, traditional, and mainstream.

Who is to say your moral distinction should be given credence over NAMBLA's?

I am, among others.

I don't. I would be willing to bet that virtually every Freeper has a gay family member, relative or co-worker. They are gentically different, and are gay because that it the way God made them, like it or not. Make fun of their lifestyle, but prosecuting them is just silly.

"Homosexuals were responsible for the AIDS epidemic in this country and the taxpayers are left holding the bill for this. Tell me again why the government should stay out of their freakin bedrooms."

And how about my state, which says my wife and I can't engage in certain sexual acts in our own bedroom? I generally don't like to break the law, but this one has made me a criminal.

There is no credible, scientifically validated evidence for your statement. None. Zero.

Did I mention that what they do [fudgepacking, rugmunching, stoolstuffing, fur-trading, whatever ya wanna call it!] is totally repugnant to the traditional mores of 99% of our people

You think only 1% of people have had oral sex?

That's kind of funny.

Just use some common sense. There have been gay people since the beginning of recorded history. There have been gay soldiers, Kings, Popes, Ministers, Roman emperors, etc. There have always been gays. There will always be gays. No amount of "prayer" will change that. Prejudice against gays is just ignorant and backward.

Its been fun, America. Those who don't learn from history are bound to repeat it.

Agreed. That's why it is important to keep the government out of our homes.

Only if you include the members of conservative protestant churches who refuse to knucle under as part of your "underground church". The true church is less about loyalty to Rome than loyalty and submission to our Lord Jesus Christ and the residence of the Holy Spirit in the hearts of his believers. Be open to the possibility that oppression of true believers in Jesus Christ may create some strange denominational Bed-fellows, ie. Messianic Jews with Pentecostals, with Catholics, with Missouri Synod Lutherans...throw in some Amish/Mennonites and Southern Baptists....we'll all be under the gun at that point.

God has given us a set of rules to live by.

Which rules are you specifically referring to?

I have absolutely no use for this law and I take a rather dim view of it's supporters. But the Supremes have clearly given up on interpreting the Constitution and are just legislating from the bench. It's a shame because this court has made some pretty good calls in the past, but this week has just been ugly.

By this ruling, INCEST is now legal. It is a right to privacy.

By your logic it is now legal to murder someone in the privacy of your own home.

if homsexuals are genetically different, that means a gene can be tested and shown to exist. If a gene can be tested. A "gay" fetus can be aborted. Where is the genetic screening? The Xq26 gene was soundly disproven, penetrance studies are discredited, Where is the next gene candidate?

There is no "gay" gene or genes. There are genes which control sexual imprinting, genes which control sexual arounsal, genes which control sexual responses.

Why are some people draw to ford vs chevy automobiles? is there a ford/chevy musclecar gene? no of course not. Sexual arousal is no different.

the FOUNDING FATHERS UNLEASHED

WARNING...

"We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion...Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other." - John Adams, October 11, 1798

WARNING...

"Have you ever found in history, one single example of a Nation thoroughly corrupted that was afterwards restored to virtue?... And without virtue, there can be no political liberty....Will you tell me how to prevent riches from becoming the effects of temperance and industry? Will you tell me how to prevent luxury from producing effeminacy, intoxication, extravagance, vice and folly?..." - John Adams, in a letter to Thomas Jefferson

The entire argument about sexual behavior is so simple it can be reduced to the following: Should there be any social rules about what sexual activity a human being engages in?

If the answer is no then everyone should just shut up...hetero is okay, cousins are okay, polygamy is okay, bi is okay; gay is okay, 13-year olds are okay, and one or one-hundred-at-a-time are okay, et. al.

However, if a society decides that certain rules about who does whom when and where is functional and perhaps even necessary, all that is left is to decide is WHAT are the rules of sexual behavior and WHO shall make them...simple.

Those who follow the 'rules' are then NORMAL and all the rest are PERVERTS or DEVIANTS... so very, very simple...you decide.

Their rights stop once they infringe on everybody else's rights. And I'd say that spreading STDs (including innocents who are infected accidentally); promoting an atmosphere hostile to the traditional family; and sucking up untold $BILIONS in taxpayer money on research into cures for their self-inflicted ailments, all constitute a pretty big infringement!

Guess you also believe that folks shouldn't be able to smoke cigarettes, drink liquor, or eat fatty foods in their own homes too.

Those activities have cost our taxpayers infinitely more money than what appalls you.
