btw - strange how i never saw a fight break out when we partied listening to led zeppelin or tull. (ok, we were too stoned to fight, maybe there's a lessson there...) : ) Depends on the era. When Led Zepplin was just starting out, the long hair didn't play in some parts of this world (even in England).
I recall a modern interview with some band, I think it was the Pretty Things but maybe it was Hawkwind or Motorhead (Lemmy was in both). This band opened at some show in England and the crowd hated their long hair and threw things at the stage and made a mess of things.
The guys in Led Zeppelin laughed at the response they got and eventually took the stage. They didn't fare any better. I think that they all had to flee to avoid a riot.

I hear that the B&B DVDs (and videotapes) omit all of the music video footage. That's too bad. Those scenes had some of the best lines of the series.

I think that Much Music is slowly appearing on some dish tv systems. Actually, Much just disappeared from DirecTV, after being there for as long as I can remember, and was replaced by "Fuse", which is described as "the next generation music television network with interactive programming that gives viewers the opportunity to program the channel and make their opinions matter." Or so the DTV blurb says - the Fuse website is a bit too heavy on the Flash presentations to make me want to spend any time there figuring it all out...

We were just talking about Beavis and Butthead at work earlier this week. I miss those guys. You can buy the B&B videos, but is just them and all animation. Half of the fun was wathcing them rag on then current music videos.
