Not necessarily. Fluoridation of public water supplies began in earnest with the rapid build-up of the US atomic arsenal in the 1950's. The tie-in? Fluoride was a by product of the purification of uranium ore. It has been cliamed that dumping fluoride into the drinking water was a convenient way to dispose of it.

You can name-call all you want. Science shows adding fluoride to water supplies to prevent tooth decay is useless, harmful and wastes your money. The only people benefiting from fluoride are the toothpaste and dental products industry who also funds the "Consumer Freedom" organization.
