Liberals malign the flag, ban the Pledge, and hold cocktail parties for America's enemies, but no one is ever allowed to cast the slightest aspersion on their patriotism-
from TREASON by Ann Coulter

Putting Sawyer up against Coulter is like putting Monaco up againt the United States. Coulter can handle Sawyer anytime. I'm glad you posted this because it paints Sawyer as the mis-informed "journalist" that she is.

Reading Diane Sawyer's words in print, she sounds even more pompous and condescending than she does on the air.
On another thread today, there was a report of Ann appearing on ABC's "The View," and one of the obnoxous bitties on that show asked Ann if she'd ever seen two women having sex. Ann shot back, "Not since Katie interviewed Hillary."

Yup, I expect that my veins will bulge and my pulse will pound when I read "Treason". Likely I'll become downright apoplectic. But those things won't occur because of outrage directed at Ann Coulter.
The good news is Amazon.com says my copy has shipped.

Diane Sawyer's only contribution to the world is as a sex object for her viewers. Period.
And she's not very good at that, either.

LOL! I almost choked to death when I read your post. You should have prefaced your remarks with a cautionary note. Please, tell me - what did these third string debaters look like when she cold-cocked them with that retort?

The same charges and hollywood crowd McCarthy was screaming about then, still exist and never went away, They existed then and they existed now.

I wish I'd seen it. Maybe they'll replay it on Hannity and Colmes tonight (Ann is a guest!)

on Tuesday's Good Morning America Diane Sawyer suggested that Coulter's historic perspective means that she'd want anyone opposed to war in Iraq to lose their job since, to Sawyer, McCarthy promoted the idea of "thought crime." Is that anything like "hate crimes" where if you commit a crime, you should be punished extra if you thought something bad about your victim's race/sex/sexual prefference? Maybe Dianne can explain the difference to us unwashed masses out here in fly-over country.

The question wasn't whether she'd ever seen two women having sex but rather if she'd seen two women get it on. Admittedly, there was a lot of innuendo(sp?) but those weren't the words that were used.

Just received my copy.
Interesting note is its backcover reviews:
"A great deal of research supports Ms. Coulter's wisecracks."~~New York Times
A backhanded compliment if ever I heard one.

Of course, the question just might be contextual, but I highly doubt it. I'd assume that this was tactical and meant to fluster her. Just bringing up lesbianism into a political discussion shows the artlessness of these sods by using the 'latent homosexuality' ploy. That's about as stupid as the old standard:
'Have you quit beating your wife yet?'
