The war with Iraq was one of Prevention. Preventing the use of WMDs by Sadaam, most likely through a 3rd party terrorist organization. If we had left Saddam alone, like legions of people in the world wanted. You would be taking a HUGE chance that he would not use those weapon against us, something after 9/11 would be unacceptable.
