I guess I can make my own version of Linux and charge you $300 per copy and I don't have to make it available free of charge. Oh wait, but the GPL says I can't do that.

Yes, you can create your own Linux distro, yes, you can charge $300.00/copy, and no, the GPL doesn't say you cannot charge.

Read it sometime. In fact, I suggest you actually inform yourself of the issues before commenting on them.

I could have sworn there was a must allow them to copy it for free. You can only charge for the delivery, but not the actual bits. Here's your chance to convert me...show me the money.
