"Bosque is the spanish word for forest. Out here only the areas along the river have significant vegetation."

For example, the President's Prairie Chapel Ranch is located on the Middle Fork of the Bosque River.

It looks like they've got the fire whipped but not before it jumped from the west side of the river where it was first controlled to the east side. Only 600 acres burned so it was a large fire to occur within a city, but a small fire as compared to most Western States fires.
