New soldiers walking along the street on pass noticed a car stuck in a mud-filled ditch. A dull sergeant, identifiable by his 'Smokey the Bear' hat, was attempting to free the vehicle by himself.
"Say, isn't that our drill instructor!" asked one of the group.
"Hey, it is," remarked another. "Think we should give him a hand."
"Naw," replied the first trainee. "If he really wants his car out of the ditch, he'll order it out."

"In my browser the graphics in this post are not displaying now and I don't know why" This has been happening frequently in the last few weeks. Something must be changed on the entire net to bring this about.

(If the only way an American can get elected is through Mexican votes, we have a war to be waged.)
To: editor-surveyor
I believe they are doing that because when you actually visit the site (where they display fine) they are held in cache, or temp files, with the same URL/name as what is referenced here in this thread on FR. It's funny they don't work until then.

Well, one of the continuing great things about our Republic is that we can make that transition peacefully...although I must admit, I had my doubts about the last one.
I am afraid had Gore taken too many more measures to try and usurp things, that it could have gotten messy.
God grant that it never goes that far...but God grant more that we as a people will always have the commitment to moral principle to stand strong for it in the face of such usurpations.

Thank you for the BUMP BTTT...and here's one back at you.

What's really funny is that I just went to a different thread and came back and now they are not working again!

Strange. Something to do with cache I bet.

I just finished reading Volume III, High Tide, and posted the following review on Amazon. It's been like a really rough day in the ring with no referee or bell.
In Volume III of the Dragons Fury series, Mr. Head continues his saga of World War III covering air, naval, and land engagements on all seven continents and oceans. Most frighteningly, his story illustrates the realistic and probable levels of conventional warfare in a world war within the next few years, requiring only slight advances in technology and the continuation of current political and economic trends.
High Tide is much more than a story of military adventure. It is a story of our nations commitment to survival and freedom. It is a continuous lesson in geography, technology, economics, politics, patriotism, sacrifice, and above all, faith. It is a wake-up call to Americas people and politicians. And although future alliances will take different shapes on the world stage, I believe some form of this scenario is inevitable.
Mr. Head pursues an optimistic path in his determination that the people of America can pull together in their efforts to fight back after a devastating series of military defeats and terrorist attacks. Whether his optimism is justified, we will know in a few years.

Thanks for that very kind review!
In the end, it's all in the moral foundation, the commitment to it...and in faith.
As Samuel Adams said... "[N]either the wisest constitution nor the wisest laws will secure the liberty and happiness of a people whose manners are universally corrupt.
...and I might add, neither will the most high tech military. I believe ours are not universally corrupt, although there are those who would make it appear so. That, my friend is the well of my optimism, that and the knowledge that God does and will support the right so long as there are those amongst us who are committed to it.

FYI...here's a project of mine you may have interest in if you haven't already seen it.
Among many, many other things, I do touch on the Islamic view and treatment of women in marriage.
Best Fregards.

Had never written fiction before, or any other novel.
Most of my writing before this was focused on professional technical matters, my own personal journal and writings here on FR and on my own web site(s) about issues related to conditions in our Republic over the last few years.
It's been a an interesting, educational and eye-opening experience as I have self learned how to write, do the graphics for, format, make contacts, figure out the distribution and publish my own books.
Best of luck to you in your own endeavors.
