This sounds more like a media effort to deflate efforts to collect signatures. This is a momentum killer effort. I would be interested in the background of the author of the article.

Actually its pretty close to 1.5 million now. It is gonna make the ballot in the fall for sure. The triple car tax hike this weekend cinched it.
