He'll never be mistaken for a sissy.

LOL!! My husband actually has many of the traits of the "metrosexual." (What a horrible word!) But he's not a "girly" man! He works with flowers (he has a Ph.D. in ornamental horticulture) and teaches flower arranging, among other courses. He gets emotional at sad movies, hates beer and loves wine, wears cologne (but not a fragrance!) and does most all the cooking. I like menly men and I found one. He's a wonderful husband and takes excellent care that the needs of my daughter and I are met, always putting us before himself. He works hard and is honest. I fell in love with him because he doesn't play mind games. He does (and means) what he says and means what he says. Care and love of family and honesty is what makes a man a man to me. Everything else is just personal preference. They do not determine manliness. My husband would be appalled that many of his preferences are now characterized as "metrosexual." BTW, he chases us out of the TV room to watch "shoot-'em-up" violent fare that the household women cannot abide. That just happens to be another preference.

As long as his nails aren't manicured and he doesn't take longer than you to get ready in the morning, he sounds like a winner to me. :)
