It doesn't seem to do any good. Seven of the current justices were appointed by Republicans, if I recall correctly.
It would help if he fought himself.

You are right, but we are ineffectual in fighting for judges. Winning some Senate seats will make make President Bush's judicial confirmations a piece of cake. We simply must throw out some democrat senators.
And whoever urged caution before reacting to the first decision was very wise. We always need to wait a bit before we go off the deep end, especially with seat of the pants Supreme Court interpretations.
Right. We need Republican liberals over DemocRat liberals. It is better to hit the wall at 85 mph than 100 mph.
Please consider how every decision on every issue between now and election day must be viewed thru the prism of 2004.
Please don't make such thoughtless statements. It is not about Bush. He has proven to be less than conservative in many cases. What we need are judges that uphold the constitution...As it was originaly intended. And we need judges that do not like the federal government infringing on state rights. If Bush picks someone who does not meet that criteria then don't support the pick and don't support Bush on the pick. Conservatives need to get back to supporting people based on what they beleve...Not based on who picked them or what party they are from.
