This is the fault of the Republicans. They have the power to stop it. They just don't have the backbone. Please do educate me as to just how you would instruct the GOP to proceed.
Oh, and please don't trot out the "just make 'em do a real 24/7 filibuster" line. That's been discussed to death and is not feasible.

I forget where it was posted, but the Republicans have a legitimate and legal way to stop the filibusters by forcing a vote. There's a thread somewhere about it. Orin Hatch has been threatening to do it, yet it hasn't happened. Hatch even turned up on Hannity and explained their plan, yet, it hasn't come to fruition. So, what and the heck are they waiting for?
