[history]
A Washington-based gun-safety foundation, citing data it collected from the U.S. government, contends that federal prosecutors should be more aggressive about enforcing laws designed to crack down on the weapons trade.
The Americans for Gun Safety Foundation positions itself in the middle of the United States' long-running debate over guns. While it promotes strong support for the right to bear arms, it advocates equally strong enforcement of the gun laws on the books.

The gunner banners pretend to advocate responsible gun ownership. The record however shows them as being completely opposed to gun instruction programs and shall issue CCW permits.

lets just identify the 20 laws and get them off the books. This will save our tax dollars. They are not enforced anyways.

Why....There ought to be a law...

For the American Gun Safety Foundation to advocate 2nd amendment rights, and the enforcement of existing gun control laws is an oxymoron, promoted by a bunch of morons.

After that, gun-law prosecutions drop to almost nothing: two for possession of a firearm in a school zone. Since the Supreme Court of the USA has in the past stated this law is unconstitutional and then Congress reenacted the statute with language declaring it an interstate commerce measure it would seem unless one were transporting a gun in interstate commerce this law would still be unconstitutional and anyone who has taken an oath to uphold the Constitution should not be involved in enforcing it.

Don't worry. Ashcroft is bragging how the feds are setting new records with gun prosecutions.

Once again, an organization the has NEVER sponsored a SINGLE firearms safety course is labeled as a "firearms safety organization."
The NRA has taught MILLIONS to shoot safely, but we're labeled "the gun lobby." Go figure.

I've known and dealt with dozens of FFL holders over the years. To get a FFL they have to have a clean record. Most do not get an FFL until they are a little older and have the money to buy an inventory and tooling and have learned the trade. This means they have a set life-style as a law abiding citizen. SO, why would these people suddenly go into a life of crime?
FFL violations are mostly proceedural; paperwork. Normally the problem childeren are the pawn brokers and it is usually an employee and not the owner that is involved. Why put your business in risk?
These are very LOW VOLUMN crimes anyway, so where is the problem they are not solving?

After that, gun-law prosecutions drop to almost nothing: two for possession of a firearm in a school zone. One for illegal trafficking. None for selling firearms to a minor, and none for corrupt firearms dealers. Perhaps it's because there just aren't many of these crimes committed?
