There is more to Burbank Airport than meets the eye. At least it used to be, and maybe still is, the location of the Skunk Works - the group that developed the stealth technology, the U2 spy plane, and lots of other military goodies.

Interesting. I wish I had known that. I read a book on the history of the Skunk Works several years ago. Nevertheless, I was quite surprised with how old the airport seemed.
