JEDDAH, 23 June 2003 — Crown Prince Abdullah, deputy premier and commander of the National Guard, and former US President Bill Clinton held talks yesterday in Jeddah on the developments in Iraq and Palestine in addition to world affairs.

Prince Sultan, second deputy premier and minister of defense and aviation, Prince Nawaf, head of general intelligence and prince Muhammad ibn Naif, assistant minister of interior for security affairs, attended the talks.

The crown prince hosted a dinner in Clinton’s honor at his palace.

Conducting Foreign Relations Without Authority: The Logan Act

Abstract: The Logan Act was intended to prohibit United States citizens without authority from interfering in relations between the United States and foreign governments. There appear to have been no prosecutions under the Act in its almost 200 year history. However, there have been a number of judicial references to the Act, and it is not uncommon for it to be used as a political weapon. Although attempts have been made to repeal the Act, it remains law and at least a potential sanction to be used against anyone who without authority interferes in the foreign relations of the United States.

I agree with aynrandfreak, he is up to giving the Saudis "advice." Plus he is telling them that due to the "peculiar nature" of our Constitution, he can't run again, but his wife will, and (wink, wink) HE will really be running things. I can hear it all now:
