I assume an owl, weighing so much more, could beat up a cardinal, but then again maybe the owl would be to slow to ever lay a wing on the cardinal.

LOL. Owls are some of the most effective birds of prey around, 7. BTW, that's 'ardinal' w/o an 's', the color, not the bird.

I do't think Chelsea was actually on campus enough to qualify.

I prefer to think of it as Condi's old stomping grounds! :-)

Yes, that does lend much more class to the institution. I'm only applying the Chelsea thing for this World Series because I'm a Rice fan and it makes it easier. :)

I think Townsend should get the hook. Poor Wade.

Stanford Red?

Colors probably have civil rights, too, so the Stanford Red had better rethink this one.

Stanford Rainbow? No, I ain't gonna go there.

Home plate ump must be a Stanford fan -- been doing a terrible job on balls/strikes, and ran Graham for objecting.

Yes it is, moyden. Rice has an athletic grad rate of 91%, Stanford's is 90%.

Rice de-emphasized sports decades ago, but Coach Grahamm was convinced when he took the job in '92 that he could bring the Rice baseball program to the top even w/ the scholastic demands. They've been to Omaha 4 times since then.
