WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush, trying again to explain the failure to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, said on Saturday that suspected arms sites had been looted in the waning days of Saddam Hussein's rule.
"For more than a decade, Saddam Hussein went to great lengths to hide his weapons from the world. And in the regime's final days, documents and suspected weapons sites were looted and burned," Bush said in his weekly radio address.

I notice you are bringing your pals.
Bring 'em on. Let's see who talks about truth about our nation as opposed to political zeal.

I don't think he was using the Poll to "substantiate" his opinion...but to show you that only a very small minority share your views.
Most people by far disagree with your accusations against Bush.

Forget it...this nut's been bashing the President, the war effort (both Iraq AND Afghan campaigns), attacking Israel's efforts to end its own terr threat, and generally lying about all of the above using Leftist talking points since I've been a member here.
You're not dealing with a person to be taken seriously. Witness his almost hysterical responses, and his wanton abuse of those who have the temerity to disagree with him.
Just point out the lies, as post #47 has done admirably, and ignore him/she/it.

Why do I get the feeling you're the type who would have given Hans and the UN until the next Millenium to uncover Saddam's WMD but our governemnt had to find them yesterday?

Is that what has happened?I think that there was a definite rush to war. I believe that it would be any President's duty and obligation to have the evidence in hand and be able to prove it without doubt before, during and after any war, and not to go searching for it after the fact. I would have thought that priority number one would have been to secure WMD sites upon invasion, but for whatever reason, we secured the oil fields first. I find that very odd and troubling considering the leap of faith necessary to think that the military wouldn't immediately target and eliminate the areas and sites posing the greatest threat.

50 Americans dead and dying since "victory" in Iraq and Afghanistan is controlled by warlords who just produced a bumper opium crop. Does that "feel good" too?
To: Buckeroo
"Let's see who talks about truth about our nation as opposed to political zeal." That would be US. You have yet to respond to #47, which exposes you for a liar.

I don't care about polls. I care about the foundations of our nation; this war with Iraq is the first war America been engaged in with an excuse of pre-emption.
So far, it is a lie and a government cover-up.

You get that feeling because you're smart. I've read this guys posts before. Ain't worth the time my friend. I just ignore him. It's the only way I can remain polite. :)

I believe that it would be any President's duty and obligation to have the evidence in hand and be able to prove it without doubt before, during and after any war, and not to go searching for it after the factBecause his reasons were good enough for bipartisan approval of our congress they still are good enough for me. He went through proper constitutional channels, congress had the same information he had, and the result was they gave him the green light.
Playing monday quarterback is great for the ego but ultimately its a waste of time.
Further, beware of what Tony Blair said on this matter. He said the disclosures regarding WMD will come out in one report and not piecemeal. That means he and the US are staying mum about what they are discovering. If I were you and I wanted to stay credible, I would be making my points conditionally because its more that likely you will be wanting a big supply of ketchup to eat your raw crow with.

Why do I get the feeling you're the type who would have given Hans and the UN until the next Millenium to uncover Saddam's WMD but our governemnt had to find them yesterday? That's pure nonsense. It was the administration that launched a media campaign to discredit the UN inspectors and refused to give them more time. We claimed that we had the evidence. Okay, where is it? Why would anyone want to give us time to find WMD when we wouldn't allow the UN time? You see the illogic of your argument. The UN never made any claims or offered any proof. We told everyone that WMD existed and could prove it.

So you love government, do you? You are tickled "pink" about how elected leaders are the best folks under the Sun? Tell me how they know more about your well-being than you do about yourself.

I'm kind of hoping we opt for more 'pre-emptive' type actions in the future as opposed to waiting to be hit first. Why do people resist this obviously sound strategy?

So the gassing ot the Kurds never happened?
Even the UN admits to that one and they claim that there was no accounting for weapons they knew Saddam had but didn't prove he destroyed.
