outright sticker theft will be WAY up in the next few months. You can inhibit sticker theft by sticking the new sticker on, then taking an x-acto knife and cutting a big "X" through the sticker. They will have to take it off piece by piece. I used it in my college parking lot. :)
I am so glad I escaped that crazy state.

Nobody should pay a damn penny of this illegal tax.
There needs to be a massive tax revolt in this state.

Sorry I'm late. I know you missed me Khurkris :) How's life behind what is left of the Orange Curtain?
After all the jokes I have read about Kali in the VLF and recall threads, I don't have much to add. But don't worry, I'm sure the Kali voters will do the right thing. *LOL*
Say goodbye to another Conservative Californian. Seems a lot of others are trying to leave as well.

(Keep paying those taxes California. Mexico thanks you.)

I used to live there, and here's a picture of California:

Here in Missouri they require you put the new stickers directly over the metal instead of over another sticker. They say it's harder to steal stickers directly from the metal license plate. Eventually there will be no room left except over the letters and numbers. Example, the first year's go in the corner, the next year's go in the middle, etc.

Except they won't let you pump your own gas. What's up with that?

"This is the first time that we've been in a position where we actually have none of our own money. We are operating as of today totally on borrowed cash."
The State almost solely relies on begging, borrowing, or stealing for its income since its ability to generate business income is so uniformly bad. Besides, have you ever known thugs who would rather live by the sweat of their own brows than by the sweat of others'?

California is not the only state with excessive vehicle taxes...there are at least five that would be in the same league as California. Since the Feds have taken over the license business and dictated what will be required to get a drivers license...its time that we think about Fed management of the tags. There ought to be a maximum limit on vehicle taxes of $100.

Mississippi's state motto is, "At least were aren't Missouri".
To: pepsionice
California is not the only state with excessive vehicle taxesSome states also require you to get special inspections, which raise the actual registration cost by a lot. My friend in PA paid $300 total to register her 1998 car this year. It would have cost less in CA, because she wouldn't have needed the special inspection. Well, now it would cost more...
To: NormsRevenge
Illegals don't pay the taxes on vhicle registration because they don't register. We have them where I live. Ten cars and only one registered. The cops refuse to write them tickets.
Thanks, Douglas County Sheriff of Colorado. Next election, prepare you next job. It won't be as sheriff.

And,invariably, guess who is working on these home building efforts"Thats right, all people from one particular ethnic group! Sorry. Liberals and Neil Boortz tell us that these construction jobs are not wanted by American citizens. That these jobs are beneath us, we do not want to do manual labor and that the American economy would crumble without using them as a safety valve.
It used to be they only said this about fern pickers and field hands. Guess the illegals have moved up the technology ladder and Americans are getting softer. (/sarcasm)

" .. running on fiscal fumes " " California is broke. " And that is why all the department heads are buying themselves Cadilac CTS's on the state's tab. The state is not broke, they just ran out of money to spend on everyone else but themselves.

You can pump your own if you belong to a card lock station or ride a motorcycle.
I ride a motorcycle and belong to a card lock station ... I still prefer having someone else handle the smelly gasoline hose. :)

I figure if they pump my gas they expect a tip and are mad if they don't get one.

No...you were not missed. Just awaiting your predictable comments. Its interesting how you project your failure to earn a livable income on others.
Perhaps you believe that your posts ridiculing those of us who currently live in California raise you above us. Most of us are actually trying to improve our lot in life.
Who can say what will happen here? I have lived around the world and do not wear rose colored glasses.
Good luck to you...just remember, those anti-California posts are directed at real people, people who are just trying to live. Some work hard, educate themselves and develop the skills needed to do it successfully. Some, like you, don't.

So I am insensitive? I should think with my feelings rather than my brain? The only people I have directed my comments at are liberals, so you obviously don't like me criticizing them. You are in the right state.
For you, I am happy where you are.
I hope you like Bustamonte as your governor. Davis probably won't make it to the recall election if it looks like he'll lose.

Interesting how you change the comments to fit your agenda. Amazing how you draw the conclusions you need to continue your tirades. You are a real piece of work. Do you lurk on FR just to attack people? I wish you the life you deserve.

Yeah, that's right....everyone who leaves California is just weak and can't support themselves.
That's why Kalifornia is just full to the brim with successful people who wouldn't dream of taking a penny from any sort of welfare state. Everyone in KA is a hard worker. Only the sucky people leave, while the smart people stay, because of course people with the skills to make themselves successful are SMART enough to stay in California where the tax laws are so encouraging to those who become successful.
ALL the other states are full of the moochers and losers who can't hack it in the paradise that is KA.
And, judging you on your personal comments directed towards me and others in the past few days, it's ironic to hear you critcize someone for attacking people. But then, it must be hard for you to think straight with that giant log in your own eye.
