Our government is mandated to enforce individual rights and rule of constitutional law.
It does not enforce the 'moral' rules of men. These rules are wisely left to our establishments of religion, freely exercised.

Such common laws existed long before your religion based 'morals'.
They are based on the golden rule and our self evident rights to life, liberty and property. Always have been, in every society ever known, regardless of religious belief.
The constitution conforms with the generic 'morality' of the golden rule, not the religious morality of Christianity.
Only simpletons think otherwise.
