I know it is that simple. The creative people don't decide program schedules. Business people do. These are businesses not social engineering firms. They are run like businesses by accountants who don't give a damn about the program's content --- just its appeal to sponsors and the bottom line.

That is how it works. That is how it should work. Anything else ... ANYTHING ELSE ... is social engineering by someone on some level. If you want something off the air, don't watch it and get other people not to watch. If it has no audience, it will go away. If it has an audience with moeny ready to spend on sponsors' products, it will stay.

Good arguments, but I ask you, how is what THEY are doing not social engineering ? They are shaping and sculpting our culture--and the image we are known by around the world. How can this not be social engineering?? We need new engineers!
