Bravo! Well said. IMHO, there is a marketing opportunity here for someone with the backing and know-how:

No programming heavier than PG, or rating option satellite/cable packages. That would be a good start. Then lets see where the Market dynamic takes us.

I cringe at the slutfest MTV has become, and even more when I think of my 15 year-old live-in grandaughter exposed to this crap.

Interesting that you mention that.

SkyAngel is a Christian-based satellite service that uses DishNetwork as a platform.

21 television channels (Angel One, Angel Two, KTV, TVU, Guardian Television Network, Faith TV, SuperChannel TBN, Three Angels Broadcasting, Safe TV, Cornerstone Television, Daystar, Christian Television Network-Detroit, Golden Eagle Broadcasting, Liberty Channel, Familyland, The Inspiration Network, World Harvest Television, FE TV, Gospel Music Television, Praise TV & The Worship Channel) and 16 radio channels (His Kids Radio, K-LOVE Radio, Pulse Radio, Radio U Network, WAY-FM, American Family Radio, Bible Broadcasting Network, Calvary Satellite Network, Living Way Radio, Moody Broadcasting Network, Solid Gospel Music Radio, Sacred Favorites, Voice of Jerusalem, Z-73 Radio, Radio Nuevo Vida, Totally Gospel Urban Radio) are broadcasting family friendly, Christian-based television 24 hours a day.

Cost is $12/month. Install is as little as $149. If you've already got Dish Network, then there is no additional installation cost. Just call 'em up and add the service. Otherwise, you have to get the dish & receiver. **There is no requirement to purchase DISH Network programming to receive SkyAngel.**

It's definitely a solid alternative for those who are looking for something different than what you find on the other networks.
