"Government does regulate morality."

Wrong. Government regulates behavior.

Splitting hairs. Behaviors are the reflection of a moral code which, if not self imposed, are required to be imposed by government.

"The laws that we live by are based on morals."

Wrong. Some of the laws are founded on morals. Most of the laws are founded on moral hubris, which is a qualitatively different thing.

Your comments are hubris, and are about as clear as spilling out a dirtload.

"The government enforces those morals."

Wrong. The government enforces the laws in an immoral manner - inequitably and hypocritically.

This is true because you say so ? Again, hubris.

"I have no problem with that."

I'm sure you don't - and that moral passivity is the premier 'civic virtue' of all totalitarian regimes.

Quite the contrary, it is you who are morally passive, deeming a depraved society quite acceptable as long as you can have freedom to be a libertine and impose it on the rest of us. You are quite the totalitarian in your vision of an amoral society.

I, for one, won't be calling you 'dearie'

Please don't. The uncivilized are so loathesome.

The government is your God; it is not mine.

I reiterate that you have a passion for totalitarianism that you dare not look at. This intellectual dishonesty will bite you in the *ss, yet, despite your attempts to throw dirt in the eyes of others.

Hubris...you stink of it.
