"As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
Serving means obeying Him. God doesn't sit idly by and let immorality flourish. Noah's flood is proof of that. So don't quote scripture to me and then act like a hippocrit. Would you like the this nation to be judged by God because it has become so immoral that God will have to step in and judge her like Sodom and Gomorrah, or are you one of those who is so up to the truth about the Bible that you definitely know for certainty that this was just a fairy tale, and was used only as a illustration the story of Sodom and Gomorrah never Really happen?

I see, so when YOU see evil, you just put your hands over your eyes, and everything will be alright!
GOOD LUCK! Don't trip over a cliff.

No sir. You're the loser. You just don't know it yet. You have just allowed the FLOOD of smut to flow unchecked, without putting up barriers, and now we will all pay the consequences for it. God help us all!
It seems even conservatives have embraced evil and think nothing of it.
Satan has put the bait in the water and America is swallowing it hook, line and sinker. And of Course God will allow it because His children are tolerant of other people's behaviors even if it's an abomination to Him. He will not judge us, just like He didn't any nation in the past throughout History!

I suggest you read about the Roman Empire and how it came to an end. It wasn't because of foreign Invaders, it was because of immoral debauchery which you wish to flourish in our nation. According to Gibbon (among others), the fall of the Roman Empire stemmed from the rise of Christianity. (To be fair, though, Gibbon's "Decline and Fall" took 13 centuries.)
But at any rate, Roman debauchery was in full swing in at the beginning of the first century. Rome didn't reach its peak until the late 2nd century, and didn't fall until the late 5th century (after a century and a half of state Christianity).

Now really you all give me a headache You're getting a headache because you're being forced to face how ridiculus your puritanical ideas really are.

No it was NOT Christianity of the Apostles. It was Roman Catholicism which was corrupted by the Caesars who appointed Popes, Cardinals, Bishops and such who would obey them. The Roman Empire was already on the decline, Socially, Governmentally, and religiously.

No it was NOT Christianity of the Apostles. And the Christianity of Christ was Judaism. Go figure.
It was Roman Catholicism which was corrupted by the Caesars who appointed Popes, Cardinals, Bishops and such who would obey them.
Do you accept or reject the Nicene Creed?
The Roman Empire was already on the decline, Socially, Governmentally, and religiously.
"Already" as of when? There is no Roman debauchery you can describe that was not in full swing at the time of Christ, and yet Rome didn't reach its peak--artistic, literary, architectural, economic, or military--until centuries later.
There isn't the slightest shred of evidence that pornography or sexual license had anything whatsoever to do with the fall of Rome. That's pure revival-tent revisionism. At the end of the Western empire, puritanism was in full swing.

Fine, If they violated their own standards- call them on it. I for one never discouraged anyone from this kind of activism- but it's not a battle that I choose to join. Best of luck.

To say that Christianity caused the fall of the Roman Empire sound anti-Christian, but it means simply that Christianity wasn't compatible with a Fascist government- which Rome had more or less become at THAT time.
Christianity made people "less patriotic" in the sense that they stopped participating in all manner of state rituals and "Pledges of Allegiance" which were part of the social contract Roman's had participated in for centuries. Also as the rest of the empire became n more urban and prosperous Rome's influence waned. But other great factors were a devalued currency, massive illegal immigration, high taxation, a huge welfare class, a complacent middle class, a foreign standing army and the tyranny of a corrupt government.

It seems that's all you know about the Bible is the sluts, prostitutes, and sex. Guess I know where your mind is. You may call it projection on my part but I have a pretty good understanding of busybodies like you think.

I am pretty sure that another psychiatrist could report that some puritantical would-be regulators have been known to spend as much as 10 hours a day conspiring to regulate the behavior and tastes of their neighbors. Being a busy body is like an addiction, he might add, a disease that eats away at the afflicted with constant fretting that some people, somewhere are doing things at this very moment that are making them happier than they are.
While it may start out as a moderate and sensible concern about the direction of societal mores, all too frequently it has been known to mushroom into a disease that overtakes the perspective of the afflicted. Fully flowered the addict is known to extravagantly compare the risque mores of the Modern Age to the Fall of the Roman Empire, Slavery, Holocaust, even to Adolf Hitler. They become paranoid that their children may become tarts or homos' after being exposed to only five minutes of a video that favorably portrays such errant behavior. And yes, despite sharing a general paranoia of the Imperial Federal government with other conservatives, frequently these Paleos shuck that aside in the sudden urgent effort to restore the glory of the early days of the Roman Empire and the pre-Civil War Confederacy.

Your last post got me thinking of that David Bowie song China Girl.
"I'll give you television, I'll give you eyes of blue.
I'll give you a man and a voice to rule the world...."
Just romantic crap or something sinister?

There is also a little button on the front of the TV - and the remote control - labled, "Off". Works for me everytime.
Yep, that would be just hunky-dorie if your little world = cultural reality.

The government is your God; it is not mine.
I reiterate that you have a passion for totalitarianism that you dare not look at. This intellectual dishonesty will bite you in the *ss, yet, despite your attempts to throw dirt in the eyes of others.
Hubris...you stink of it.

No, you teach them what is acceptable and what is not and how to deal with it when they aren't home. It's the same concept as me not totally babyproofing my home. I have a toddler and a crawler and I do not babyproof it comepletely so I can teach them how stay out of things they shouldn't be into and when they are at other people's homes I don't have to worry that they are breaking things in the next room. Sure, it's a little more difficult and takes a little more parenting time. It's worth it in the end though when they understand what "no touch" means at someone else's home.

"When your kids go online, I suppose you are there to make sure they don't visit any innocent looking sites that turn out to be porn sites or other unapproving sites, "
I for one wouldn't allow my kids online without supervision. That's like taking your child downtown, letting them out of the car, and saying "i'll be back later.." But it doesn't matter how much you censor TV or internet, kids are still going to have bad influences in their life to deal with. It's up to you to teach them what to do when they come face to face with things like that.
