Really? Then why do the official positions and policies of the Vatican differ so greatly from Scripture?
Just like many denominations found within Protestantism are apostate, Rome has long departed Biblical Christianity well over a thousand years ago. Fortunately, Christianity is not based on the mutable actions and opinions of men, but on the immutable words of God. How else do you explain the anthropocentric teachings of the Southern Baptists, the acceptance of homosexuality and perversion within the Methodist and PCUSA denominations, and the marxist leanings of the UCC member churches? - Answer: They have abandoned the belief in the authority of Scripture. Ergo, they are not Christians but are religious people who adopt certain teachings from Scripture.
This was not meant to bash my Augustinian/Aquinas Catholic friends who I don't doubt their faith.
