If he pled guilty to all this and admitted the facts, then why is this plot referred to as "alleged"?

How unfortunate. I would have enjoyed watching news footage of some goofball Wahhabi death cultist descending from a hang-glider with a pair of bolt cutters between his teeth, and then attempt to inconspicuously dismantle ... a suspension bridge.
