Thanks! BTW, it looks like thos Iranian flags are simply green, white and red (-orange?), but without any of the devices (winged lion, lion w/scimitar, "Allah" tulip-style) I've seen in previous flags. Is this the case?

Ah, the Iranian exile community is SMART. They are carrying American flags as well as Iranian flags. This will allow more people to come to their aid. When the Cuban exile community only carried Cuban flags, it turned the average American off.

I hope this isn't building up just to fizzle out. I'm praying the mad mullahs get on a plane in the dark of night and just disappear.

Thanks for the post.

I saw Rob Sohbani (sp?) on Brit Hume's show yesterday. He did a fantastic job explaining how these stations work, and how important they are.

He, also, said that the TV stations need money to upgrade, which would prevent Iran from jamming their transmissions.

I see two differing opinions in this article about Brownbeck's bill. What do you think would be best?

"But their influence may be growing within the US among right-wing policy-makers"

The Left in the West is desperate to see the Mullah's remain in power in Iran.

Khomeini used cassette tapes and our Iranians are using direct satellite TV. I'd imagine the downstream result is one helluva a lot of videos and pirate DVD's and VCD's of NITV's programming floating all over Iran. Isn't progress wonderful?
