You may wish to highlight the resurrection of Nick Nolte who will appear in the Hulk. Is it becoming transparent how Hollywood is sending the message of "decadence". look for other Hollywood scumbags to reappear and so send the not so subliminal message of imagery of its ok to make a buck and undermine popular culture at the same time.

Also note the GHB reference as Nick Nolte was supposedly on this drug as well as coming to a movie screen near you in the Hulk:

Jury convicts fugitive Max Factor cosmetics heir of rape charges

VENTURA, Calif. (AP) — A jury Tuesday convicted the fugitive heir to the Max Factor cosmetics fortune on charges of raping three women and drugging two of them at his beach house.

Andrew Luster, who fled in the middle of his trial while under house arrest, was found guilty of 86 counts that included rape, sodomy, drug and weapons possession and poisoning. The jury deadlocked on one count of poisoning one of the victims.

The conviction could put Luster, the 39-year-old great-grandson of Max Factor, in prison for life if he is captured.

Prosecutors said Luster took the three women to his Mussel Shoals home in 1996, 1997 and 2000 and raped them after drugging them with gamma hydroxybutyrate, also known as GHB -- or the date-rape drug -- and liquid Ecstasy.

Luster was arrested in 2000 after a 21-year-old college student told police he had drugged and assaulted her.

During a search of his home, authorities said they found videotapes of Luster apparently having sex with sleeping or unconscious women. Two women in the tapes testified at trial that they willingly took drinks laced with GHB from Luster but never consented to sex.

"I have never seen a piece of evidence that would equal the power of those videotapes," Deputy District Attorney Maeve Fox said. "They are the most shocking and disturbing things that you will ever see."

This is something of a technical issue, but statistically speaking all NAEP sample sizes are pretty small. This is because the results come from a quite small number of testees in each state (such as 2 thousand max in California I believe); this is intended to avoid the possibility of "teaching to the test" or having students grow accustomed to the test, plus it preserves the characteristic of randomness. This is a worry for widely used tests, such as the Texas TAAS, which has done its job, but is no longer producing results that are meaningful as a progress measurement.

For the DOD schools I doubt the sample size was more than a few hundred. If the sample size is too small then the results are not statistically significant. If you spend some time running reports on NAEP data you will find many cases of no results due to small sample size, or warnings of low statistical significance.

I have not been able to detect a political agenda in the NAEP myself. Overall its results have tended to support conservative positions actually, such as discounting the effects of class size, as RAND did WRT the California class size analysis.

All that stuff is pretty basic. It's pretty clear. And that probably explains why the lamestream media in the United States have pretty well ignored the success story of the DoD schools.

You nailed it as usual.
