How is evolution antithetical to conservatism? I don't see it attached to any particular ideology. Lots of the liberal professors here at my particular college are creationist, whereas lots of posters on
FreeRepublic Do think that evolution is the explainiation of the presence of current life-forms.
Oh, and by the way, A republic is not a different kind of government from a democracy. A republic is a kind of democracy; one that has no monarch, a federal system of government, a written constitution, and representitives elected by the people to run the government.
