I don't recall him gleefully offering up his weapons scientists. I do recall him delaying inspectors and intimidating scientists. You can do a lot when you delay and you intimidate.
It isn't amazing to me. These critics are not the sharpest pencils in the box to begin with, as they manage to prove every single day. They want to believe that the WMDs never existed -- despite what is still overwhelming evidence to the contrary -- and moreover they want to believe that Bush deliberately lied about it -- I guess because Bush badly wanted a scandal one year before running for re-election! They would much rather conclude that Bush lied about the existence of the weapons than that Saddam and his regime lied about the non-existence of these weapons.
Really, these people need professional help -- or at least a good freshman college course in basic logic. Or both.
