I've been waiting for them to shut up for years. You are wrong, I have no gay friends or family. The term gay rights in a misnomer, there is no such thing.

Well said. I don't understand the feelings of the passionately anti-gay. It seems to be such a burden to carry all that around. And it gives religion a bad name it shouldn't have to deserve.

One out of nine men are gay. So if you know more than nine people, the odds are one of them is gay whether you know it or not. And there's a chance they are no more happier about it than you would be.

You've obviously accepted the dictates and mandates of someone else, and have never openly & honestly communicated with some of your own family and friends -- because I guarantee you -- some of them are gay. But they are probably afraid to be open to you because of the display you put forth

Why is it that I've "accepted the dictates of "someone else???"....just because I am a man of faith? Are you suggesting that Christians can't think for themselves? My my, how intolerant.

I used to work with several gay men. One of them was my boss. For a time I considered him a friend. We had a lot of good laughs over the years.

Sadly it always comes back to their internal conflicts and anxieties. These are people who are very troubled deep down. You can see it in their attitudes and the way they live their lives. There are lots of smiles and the image of well-being on the surace, but deep down they are very troubled. Anyone who has succeeded in leaving the destructive homosexual lifestyle will confirm this.

Here is a great web site http://www.exodus-international.org/

From a psychological perspective, because some people actually like being victims. Otherwise, how can you explain the growing population of "I'm a victim" in our society.

At the time there were reasons for the prohibitions about shellfish and pork. God didn't want the Jewish people to be sick. It still is a problem if not cooked adequately.

I doubt seriously that your wife wears "men's clothing". In our society even the common clothes such as jeans, shirts, etc are made differently for women.

Seriously, do you compare a woman wearing jeans to men having sex with other men or women having sex with other women?

They want special rights, some call it love and when they create a poll about it they set those against them being married, they add the hate line of people calling them freaks to suggest intolerance.

For real, check this BS out.

While I have coworkers who are homosexual, I do not have family members who are homosexual. They do not discuss their homosexuality with me and I do engage in rhetoric at work. And it is a "choice". Why would anyone make this "choice"? Because they have been brainwashed into believing that they do not have a choice. Once again, check out the Exodus website.

Nope. Your stats are bogus and unprovable. I could just as easily claim that because I know 100 people and none are gay that gays do not exist.

One out of nine men are gay. This is even higher than the 1/10 that most homosexuals activists cite.

The 10% figure began as a misinterpretation of studies done in the 1940s by sexologist/entomologist (student of insects) Alfred Kinsey and his associates. Scholars like Dr. Judith Reisman and Edward Eichel have challenged Kinsey’s research methodology as flawed (he used an unspecified percentage of college student volunteers and convicts with sex offenses) and his statistics as therefore faulty. A series of recent studies from 1989 through 1993 all show similar figures for the real proportion of exclusively homosexual individuals in America: about 1% to 2%.

Bingo....Then these folks should stop complaining about what other people say about their lifestyle.

Sorry but these statistics have been shown to be inflated. Try one out of one hundred. Still relying on the Kensington (sp) Study I see.

Huh... are you forgetting men didn't wear jeans in the Bible? They wore robes, skirts.. whatever they were called. But they didn't wear jeans/pants, from what I read.

I don't compare those two behaviors. But the Bible uses the same word for them: abomination. The same word. Also -- who are you to gainsay the word of the Lord, or tell us what His reasons were, when you say it's now okay to eat pork? My wife often wears my shirts and my son's jeans, just as my daughter often wears my t-shirts. If you take the Bible at its word, that's an abomination, and punishable by death. You have chosen, for your own reasons, to condemn homosexual behavior, and since you do not equally condemn all the Bible's abominations, you are selectively using the Bible to back up your own opinions.

This is so true, there isn't anything guaranteeing the right to not be offended. I find the homosexual lifestyle to be offensive and the homosexual finds my opinion to be offensive. The difference is that I am not going around asking the government to fund my opinions or beliefs. If you say "Well what about the marriage tax relief" then you are wrong!!!! I am for a flat tax for everyone and I do not want to know your sexual history. As I say frequently "Too much information".
