He's "pro-gay" in the minds of a handful of FReepers because he's not on a holy mission to demonize and expose every last gay person in America as some sort of "pervert."

Until he picks up the pace and starts attacking the "immorality" they will peg him as a "RINO." The live and let live conservatism that I grew up with means nothing to these people.

That's the only thing he doesn't go for, actual gay marriage. Everything else he's pro-gay, as I've said. AND he's pro-abortion.

Either of US Reps Daniel Webster (former state house speaker) or Dave Weldon (military veteran and doctor) would be stronger candidates statewide and actual honest-to-goodness conservatives.
