June 19, 2003 -- WASHINGTON - U.S. forces have captured Saddam Hussein's second-in-command and were moving quickly last night to get him to spill the beans on what happened to the ex-dictator.
In the most significant capture of the 55 wanted regime monsters since the war, U.S. Central Command announced the arrest of Abid Hamid Mahmud al-Tikriti, Saddam's powerful personal secretary.

"I believe over the next three to four days, you will hear much more about the number of senior Iraqi individuals we have detained here over the last couple of days," Odierno told Pentagon reporters in a teleconference. Me thinks they have a few more good cards in hand, and they will trickle the news out a bit at a time... using it to their advantage in the on-going interrogations of other Cards in the Deck.
I'm looking forward to the news over the next week or so!

Mahmud was NOT spotted by intelligence entering the meeting on March 19, according to John Loftus. SH and his sons were at that meeting and have not been heard from since.
