PICTURE PLEASE!
I think everyone who wants a picture of Ann Coulter already has a picture of Ann Coulter. Why don't we try something novel for a change and discuss the article?

If I were to engage in idolatry, Ann Coulter would be my starting place. She has the skill of baring more truths than any dozen of the other columnists. Wow!

The report came from Inspector General Glenn Fine a lingering, festering Clinton appointee Another one to add to the list!

The picture will appear despite your protestations and the article will be dissected as well. I don't see a conflict.

Why isn't this an actionable cause for dismassal of the IG?
"[T]he Sept. 11 attacks changed the way the department, particularly the FBI and the INS, responded when encountering aliens who were in violation of their immigration status."
"In other times, many of these aliens might not have been arrested or detained for these violations."
And in the searing words of the New York Times: "Had it not been for the attacks, 'most if not all' of the arrests would probably have never been pursued."
What difference does any of this make? The INS and others were FINALLY doing their jobs conscientiously.

Copy this and keep it on your Desktop so that you might refer to it when reading stories about "high officials" of the State, Defense or Justice Departments. Or reading discordant themes from the bowels of the CIA or FBI:
"As a rule of thumb, all career government bureaucrats are liberal Democrats. (Children in Republican families do not grow up yearning to work for the government someday.) Republican presidents come in, make a handful of appointments to each department, and then the career bureaucrats go about gleefully denouncing the Republicans while allowing themselves to described in the New York Times as "internal" whistleblowers."
Ann nails it again.

"in other times" is liberal code speak for "under the Clinton Administration".

Another excellent analysis by Coulter. Speaking as an ex-Dem I've lost total faith in any politician or bureacrat professing to be a liberal in defending our country. The sad fact is that all liberals and the great majority of Dems are more interested in pushing their parochial interests and increasing their power and financial interests than in protecting the citizens of the U.S. The "paper of record" is typically clueless. And typically a liberal rag is more interested in protecting the "rights" of illegal aliens than in protecting their own country. The ironic thing is that in non-elite middle America and elsewhere, most middle-class Dems don't care if some middle-eastern terrorist's "rights" are violated or not. They don't read the Times and the other notorious lib rags. They want these guys hauled in and questioned too. The Old Grey Bag Lady whines in vain.

If the FBI would simply "distinguish" between the terrorists and everyone else, then they could just arrest all the terrorists! Why didn't anyone else think of that? Yep. The FBI ought to ask each detained illegal, "Are you a terrorist?" -- if they answer no, let them go.

Reminds me of that great on-air sketch that Robin Williams did as Adrian Cronauer in "Good Morning Vietnam" where he immitates an Army Intelligence officer being asked what he does:
(Spoken in goof voice) "Well, we go around and ask people if they're 'Charlie', and if they say yes, we shoot them".
