Uhh...excuse me, but he's not a "suspect", he's a "convict".

What is it in a persons makeup that would cause this sort of behavior? :)

Glad they caught him.

This is the guy who was convicted of drugging women, then filming them while he raped them. He disappeared before his conviction, he was convicted in absentia, and I believe he has now been away too long to appeal his conviction. YOu have to appeal your conviction within 90 days of the conviction.

Max Factor (search) cosmetics heir Andrew Luster (search), convicted of rape and sentenced to 124 years in prison, has been taken into custody in Mexico, a spokeswoman for the bounty hunter who made the catch said.

Beth Smith, the spokeswoman for bounty hunter Duane "Dog" Chapman (search), told Fox that Luster, 39, was located at a Puerto Vallarta beach resort nightclub.

"This has been a long hunt," Smith told The Associated Press in a telephone interview from Chapman's bail bonds office in Honolulu. "The Mexican authorities have (Chapman) and his crew along with Luster."

Luster vanished Jan. 3 during a two-week recess in his trial. He was convicted in absentia on 86 counts including rape, sodomy, drug and weapons possession and poisoning, sentenced to 124 years and ordered to pay $1 million in restitution.

There were reports that Luster was in numerous spots throughout the world, including Central America and Switzerland, but the big break came last week when someone called the bounty hunter's organization and said they had partied with Luster in Mexico and had photos of him there, the source told Fox News.

The individual e-mailed those photos to the bounty hunter, who then confirmed it was Luster. Luster was wearing the same shorts in a photo taken in Mexico as in some of the photos released by police.

Prosecutors said Luster, the great-grandson of cosmetics tycoon Max Factor, took three women to his Mussel Shoals, Calif., home between 1996 and 2000 and raped them after giving them the date-rape drug GHB.

He was arrested in July 2000 after a college student told police he drugged and assaulted her. A search of his home turned up videotapes of Luster having sex with women who appeared to be either asleep or unconscious, prosecutors said.

The defense argued the women consented to sex.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

Ventura County Sheriff's Official Report

On Monday, January 6, 2003, Andrew Luster failed to appear in court  for the continuation of his  jury trial.   Luster has been charged with a  variety of charges including rape by use of drugs, rape of an unconscious person and other sexual assault crimes.

Luster had been released from custody on bail by the court, with the condition that his whereabouts be electronically monitored through the Community Confinement and Electronic Monitoring Program of the Ventura County Probation Agency.  Recently, Luster had been granted permission by the court to leave his residence between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

On Friday, January 3, 2003, Luster notified probation that he was leaving his residence, as he was required to do.  At 8:30 p.m., Behavioral Interventions, the company that provides the electronic monitoring, noted that Luster had not returned to his residence as required by court order.

On January 6, 2003, Superior Court Judge Ken Riley found that defendant Luster had "voluntarily absented" himself from trial and declared Luster a fugitive.  Judge Riley revoked Luster's bail, and issued a no-bail arrest warrant.

The Ventura County District Attorney's Office and the Ventura County Sheriff's Department are committed to locating and returning Luster to Ventura County.  According to motor vehicle records, Andrew Stuart Luster, who is also known as Drew Luster, is a white male with brown hair and green eyes.  He is six feet tall and weighs 210 pounds.  His date of  birth is December 15, 1963. He has a muscular build, and when last seen in court, had no facial hair.

Luster was last seen driving his green 1999 Toyota sport utility vehicle, California License Plate Number 4GLC507.

Dog the Bounty Hunter was the one looking for him, though his website isn't updated yet with the capture. But he's been on the trail for a while now.
