studying the Scripture to find out what it really means is a "slippery slope." No no no. I meant that ignoring clear Scripture in favor of "possible explanations" is a slippery slope. For example, the Bible condemns adultery rather clearly. But a person could say that the Scripture is ambiguous on the matter and justify their behavior.
