Pretty soon someone else besides the mother
will be able to decide which human lives are
 inconvenient

Like who?

The government of course. Just like China's gov't does. And just like they do every day dictate what we can and cannot do. (laws, duh...!) and we support that as long as the law is good. Roe V Wade is bad law.

The argument is not CHOICE, it is LIFE.

Life always takes precedent over choice in all other areas. I cannot choose to do whatever I want with impunity, if it harms another's life. But try and get a prodeath person to define life and you can't do it. Because if they agree to that line of reasoning, their argument is a house of cards.

IMO a woman should be forced to be a mother at least until the child is born, if a man can be forced to be a father and pay child support for 18 years. The decision should always place the convenience of the people involved WAY behind the importance of the life of the child.

This has already happened in the case of in vitro fertilization and will become commonplace if cloning of humans is achieved. The technician and the researcher decides/ will decide which humans are to live and which are to die.
